Testing Preparation Progress

There are a few bits of progress to note from the last update. Firstly, the objective of finding an aluminum PCB vendor was completed through the recommendation of Advanced PCB by Dr. McMillon-Brown. As for PCB design, example Gerber files have been provided which the ones custom fit to our solar cell samples will be based off of. The plan is to mount one solar cell per PCB, allowing 5 cells to fit in the thermal vacuum chamber at once. Moving onto PSC manufacturing, various necessary safety/testing equipment has been obtained, including the following:

• latex gloves

• full body lab coveralls

• half face respirator + filters

• suctioning protective eyewear

• hot plate

• auto-leveling multimeter

Ideally, both the PCB design and the PSC sample manufacturing will be completed in the coming weeks.
